Missy Robertson noted that while Mia is making significant progress, there is still a long road ahead. The surgery involved a major procedure where doctors had to break Mia’s jaws to adjust them. Unfortunately, pain medication could not be administered due to the need for Mia to remain alert to prevent choking.
